Privacy Notice

How Grant Scientific collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects personal information submitted through this website.

Effective August 19, 2026

1. Who we are and what this notice covers

Grant Scientific Ltd. (“Grant Scientific”, “we”, “us”) operates grantscientific.ca. This notice applies to this public website and to inquiries submitted through it. The website does not offer user accounts, purchases, or an online client service.

Our Privacy Officer is responsible for our privacy practices. You can contact the Privacy Officer at privacy@grantscientific.ca or by mail at Grant Scientific Ltd., General Delivery, 704-4th Ave S, Lethbridge, AB, T1J 3Y2, Canada.

2. Information we collect and why

Information you provide

When you use the project inquiry form, we collect your name, email address, and project message so we can respond, understand the work you are considering, and continue the resulting business conversation. We also retain correspondence you exchange with us.

Providing this information is voluntary. Please do not submit passwords, credentials, government identifiers, health information, or other sensitive personal information through the inquiry form.

Technical and security information

Our hosting and form providers may process ordinary request information such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, requested URL, and the date and time of access. We use this information to deliver and secure the site, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and meet legal obligations.

3. What we do not do

We do not sell or rent personal information. This website does not use advertising, behavioural analytics, cross-site tracking, profiling, or advertising cookies. We do not use an inquiry to add you to a marketing list unless you separately and expressly ask to receive marketing communications.

4. Service providers and disclosures

The inquiry form is processed by Formspree, which hosts its service in the United States. Google provides our website hosting infrastructure and email service. These providers process information for the purposes described here and under their contractual and legal obligations. We may also disclose information to professional advisers or public authorities when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or establish or defend legal claims.

Website and inquiry information may be processed in Canada and the United States. Information handled outside Canada may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, or national security authorities under the laws of that country. Contact our Privacy Officer for more information about our service-provider practices.

5. Consent and use

By voluntarily submitting an inquiry, you consent to our using the information to respond and to take reasonable steps connected with your request. We limit collection, use, and disclosure to purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate. You may withdraw consent for future use by contacting us, subject to legal, contractual, and record-retention requirements.

6. Retention

We normally retain unanswered or inactive inquiries and related correspondence for up to 24 months after the last communication. If an inquiry becomes a client relationship, the applicable client agreement and our business, tax, insurance, and legal obligations may require a longer period. We apply the same 24-month limit to inquiry content held in Formspree and Google Workspace and review inactive inquiry records at least quarterly. Provider security and operational logs that are not inquiry content follow the providers' retention schedules. When information is no longer reasonably required, we delete it or render it anonymous.

7. Safeguards

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including access controls, encrypted transport, provider account protections, and limited access to inquiries. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

8. Your choices and rights

You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete information we no longer need. You may also ask a question, withdraw consent for future use, or make a complaint. We may need to verify your identity, and lawful exceptions may limit what we can provide or delete.

Send requests to privacy@grantscientific.ca. If we do not resolve an Alberta privacy concern, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

9. Children

This business-to-business website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through it.

10. Changes to this notice

We will revise this notice when our website or information practices materially change and will update the effective date above. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent when applicable law requires it.
